Mr. Zeller owns and/or manages a number of real estate partnerships and corporations throughout the United States and Costa Rica. Mr. Zeller holds a degree in Civil Engineering and has taken several courses in corporate accounting and finance as well as attending specialized seminars in various fields. Mr. Zeller's experience began as a laborer for Snyder Construction Company during summers while attending college. He assumed management of the Company in 1965 and purchased it in 1967 and has served as its President ever since. During the 1970’s and 1980’s, Snyder Construction employed up to 150 people while focused on its primary business of multi-million dollar large diameter pipeline projects and highway construction projects throughout the U.S, Caribbean and Central America.
In 1969, Mr. Zeller formed J Z Construction Corporation and also served as its President. J Z Construction Corporation specialized in building shopping centers, pump stations, office buildings, medical facilities and restaurants, including thirty-eight Pizza Hut restaurants throughout the northeast. In 1975, Mr. Zeller entered the real estate development business and now successfully owns several restaurants, commercial buildings, offices, warehouses and major shopping centers. Mr. Zeller was a Charter Member of the Board of Directors of Associated Builders and Contractors and helped organize the First Chapter in New York State. He served on the Board of Directors of Oneida Area Industries and the Advisory Board of Lincoln First Bank in Oneida, New York.
In 1988, Mr. Zeller became involved in the Initial Public Offerings of a wide range of public companies, including tamper proof packaging, mining, and a computer company. In the early 1990's, he purchased several large residential parcels in Gold Canyon, Arizona, just east of Phoenix. These parcels were developed into subdivisions that have been marketed to major homebuilder’s. One of the subdivisions, Gold Canyon East, was greatly improved by allowing a nearby 18-hole golf resort to expand to 36 holes by weaving the expansion through this development. It has proved to be an extremely insightful improvement added tremendous value to Gold Canyon East. Since completion of this expansion the Gold Canyon Golf Resort has continually been among the “best public courses” in Arizona. Being a frequent traveler to Costa Rica, Mr. Zeller saw the potential this country holds. In 1983 he submitted a construction bid on a multi-million dollar Costa Rican water facility funded by the World Bank.
Furthering his interests in Costa Rica, Mr. Zeller began acquiring, and is now developing some of the most spectacular resort and commercial properties in Central America, including a 500- acre Island on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. In 1996, in response to the rapidly increasing worldwide demand for quality premium cigars, Mr. Zeller entered into the handmade cigar manufacturing and tobacco growing industry in both Nicaragua and Costa Rica. His wide experiences and knowledge is derived from hands on involvement in all of the above-diversified activities.
